v7 PS2 GAP - NOGAP ROM

Here is a v7 NTSC PS2 I did today This PS2 got the Magic Chip 2 v7 mod. The install pics for Magic Chip v7 board only shows the NOGAP ROM well there is a GAP ROM version also below is the PIC The chip does work on this model but the install PICS need to be updated Guchi I know you will take care of this.

hey LOD, what about mounting. I heard it's too thick to put it on the motherboard. Where did you mount the chip?? thanks

It is best due to thickness to mount the MAGIC CHIP on the side kinda in the same spot you would mount a NEO 2.5
This applys to v4,v5,v6,v7 PS2's

so there's no way that the chip would fit/work if it is installed on the motherboard??

can I ask a question since you have the same ps2 that I have. I have a ntsc scph 39001

in any hoot it was nice of you to show us the mod chip you got. Tell me something? Is that chip better than the messiah? I am looking to buy one and I am just confused which one to get. Can you tell me if you know what is the best one. Thanks bud.

I am also confused with how many versions of messiah they have out there. I was reading one which was blue messiah magic 3 v7
