    I've installed two console, one is v5 pal, and it works on DVDR AND CDR. but the v7 is not working

    DVDr not working boot to red death
    PS2 CDR boot to black screen
    HK Silver PS1 boot to black screen
    PS1 NTSC CDR boot to black screen
    PS1 pal CDR ok.


    what's the problem?? I've double checked all connection. but no luck....

    please advise me if you know what's the problem.

    I've double checked all the contact points, but they are in the right place....


    I'm going to desolder all the wires and reinstall it again. then see how it going....

    but still needs everyone's comment on this issue.

    the messiah 2 troubleshooting guide in the faq is applicable to Magic 3 (more or less) and one of the listed causes will apply here. Commonly solder bridges or badly re-attached or broken ribbon cables.

    I've deattached all the wire and reinstalled the chip, it's working now... I used a multimeter check all the connection point before, but they are all good, I still don't know what I did wrong for the first install.... anyway, thanks both of ITMASTER and charlie_ps2 for reply.

    did you tried PS2 CDs presed ones Silver ?
    Is it booting ok?

    No, because I don't have any...
    I've to reset a few time to get some dvdr games to boot, but after I used the alternative W point, it all boot fine... don't have any problem so far...
