v7 with magic 3.6 help needed
v7 with magic 3.6 help needed –

I just installed the magic 3.6 and now original ps2 games play fine but the one backup I have gives me a disk read error when installed. I have read all the relevant posts and need to ask how do I find the bios version? I have checked the version info page and none of the numbers are close to what I've seen here, 050, 090, etc... Any info would be appreciated. Thanx.

Look on top of the bios chip ( where you put the clip kit) it should say 070 or something to the sort. I thinks its the 3rd line. Hope this helps. BTW, I have a magic 3.6 in my PS2 and have nothing but problems with it. Not sure if it's the chip or the clip kit, but it will play backups as long as the unit's been off for a while. If it's been running for more than 30 mins backups won't boot at all.
