Hey i have a v7 with a magic 3.1 in it that i bought pre-modded. I was in the middle of playing a backup of nfl street. When all a sudden everything stopped. I could still move my character around, ....but the music stopped, the background animation stopped, all the rest of the players stopped. Everything but my char/player..... I tried hitting start to pause it to menu and that didn't work, pretty much no buttons worked except my analog stick to move. So.....i hit the reset button.....and the ps2 booted to a blank black screen, nothing came up.... I tried powering down completely then powering back up and still got nothing. Then i tried ejecting the tray....and the tray wouldn't eject. The blue light worked, the reset seemed to reset the system (though it just reset it to a black screen).

I'm completely clueless as to whats wrong, I was wondering if someone had advice, or was willing to take a peek/stab at fixing it? Or wether someone had an interest in just buying it for parts or to fix it themselves.

I'm not much of a soddering guy, but if all else fails i guess i couldn't make things any worse then they are now....(being that i get no video, and the tray won't even eject).

Thanks for any advice or help.

The fuse and probably also the BA is gone. This is a usual problem. Using search will help to find how to solve it, but it requires soldering.

    regards, Stephen
