V7 fan, fuse, messiah 2
I have a V7, and I just installed a Messiah 2 pro. It works fine and everything, except my fan stopped working.
I took it out and found the grey wire to be smushed (bad re-assembly of the PS2), so I fixed the wire. I tested the fan with a 9v battery and it worked, so i put it back together. Turned the PS2 on, but the fan still didnt turn on.
I searched around and am guessing it is the fan fuse. BUt I cannot find it.
Before you start giving me the link to the FAQ, I have already done that. BUT, charlie_ps2's diagram for the V7 GH-019 does not look like my V7, since mine is GH-022.
I attached a pic of my motherboard, and if you compare it with the one on charlie's guide, its different.
Also, how can I test the fuse (with a mulitmeter of course, but which function? My dad is on a business trip so I dont know)? Which setting would I put the multimeter on? I know its not voltmeter or ammeter. Is it resistence (omega symbol) or the other one that looks like ->+ )))?
And when i find it (the blown one fan fuse), where do I get a replacement (since I couldnt find any online stores that sold 0.7A ps2 fuses, only the 5A fuses)?
AND, when I get it, how would I change it? I was searching profusely on the forum last night and couldnt find any guide to changing fuses, only where they are located or peopel telling others to change them. Im not an electrician, so I dont know. Do you have to solder the burnt one off and solder the new one in? Or does it come out (like a car's fuses)?

For now, I am running a computer fan plugged into 12V battery source running behind the PS2 fan.
If someone could circle the correct fuse for me, that would be great!

Is it the one labeled C5886?
no it's not that one but i don't know which one is which
Or are the fuses located on the other side?
This motherboard is the GH-022 btw. ANybody have this board and had to change the fuse for the fan?
on top of C5886 resistor like thingy
gives (in resistence mode) 3.81 ohms, and then 7.xx when i reverse the leads....
tthen i don't know then u gotta talk to charlie
