v7 eject&laser problem

ok a friends ps2 had the dreaded no eject ,no blue light, no video
so i checked the BA5815FM chip well it was fried as well as the fuse
so i replaced the the fuse and the BA5815FM chip
yes i have video now and the blue eject light is back
but when i press the reset button to turn it on the problem is
the laser moves towards the center(normal) and blinks but then
when i press eject the laser keeps clicking as the drawer opens and it just jerks open at about 1cm at a time until it it is nearly fully eject ... so i tried the eject without the laser in at it opens up just fine(like normal)

i have tested the laser in another ps2 and its fried

can i test a good laser in the broken machine (or will i run the risk of it frying)

also the location of the BA5815FM gets very hot when ps2 is switched on it has a heat pad on top of it

help please
i think something else has blown or the the BA5815FM is gone again


its a v7 chipped with a messiah2( has been working sweet for about 2 years)

Recheck and resorld the BA.
Maybe have lost a leg connection
