I have been reading about the causes of this problem. I tried installing a Magic V, got black screen and no eject or eject lt. Removed and checked good. Tried again same thing. Removed and tried a Magic 3.6(clip kit) and did same thing. Removed it and cleaned up solder with no joy. It gives me black screen and no eject or eject light. The fuses that are mentioned to check, where can I find out which ones they are? Maybe a guide or picture? Also, is there a way to check the BA chip to tell if it is bad? I have an old motherboard to use for parts if necessary.....

It is a plain and simple mis-install I'm afraid. Either BIOS points shorting, or Reset/Eject cables next or shorting or solder balls.

That's the usual (but by no means exclusive) reason.

It might be the clk point or the patching wires. These wires must be flat along the mobo and shouldnt cross any other wires. (Dont use clipcit use a real chip plz )

There is a troubleshooting section in the official; install guide which is also to be found in these forums in the FAQ/Guides subsection.
