V7 Bad sound

Hi, today i try to install a messiah 2 in a v7. When i power on my ps2 nothing hapens, only a black screen. I remove the messiah 2 and the black screen is too. Searching i see that the resistor of scex point are dead (label with a 104) i change it with a 100K resitor but not smd. Now the ps2 runs, the games work good but the sound is bad (aparear, disaparear, noise ...) any one can help me? thanks.

hello

just make sure there are no bridges between the sound synth
this will cause sound problem etc...

i will attach a picture of where the sound synth area is on the mobo

If your having sound dropouts etc., then you need to use shielded cable for your CLK point. Or you can use two lengths of kynar wire that's been twisted around each other.
Check a couple of threads, as this has been discussed before and you'll be able to get a better idea of whats involved.

P.S. This problem is known to happen mainly in version 5 machines, but yours could be an exception.

esttilo says that it has removed the chip .
Without the messiah 2 dont need shielded or twisted pair of cables .
The problem maybe is a solder splash in sound synth.
Check carefull for splashes .
