    Well, if you look at the flip side of the motherboard where the EE, GS, battery and such is located, there are two rows of solder points that are directly underneath the BIOS IC of the PS2. I wonder, would it be possible to solder the BIOS lines to there instead of onto the IC legs? If you need a picture I'll post one

    yes you can solder the pins pins there but the bastard thing is you gotta find the right pads to use hehe

    really! those points are FAR easier to install onto than the IC legs. I'll try it and post back here in a three days. i have no intention of mucking with a successful install right now

    er, What? I dont want to bugger up a possibly good install by experimenting! :eek:

    So it will not work 100%? I know that the PS2 PCB is multi layered and I feared that soldering to those points on the flip side of the motherboard would prevent the messiah from correctly functioning.

    soldering to those points i think will save ALOT of dead PS2s!

    Oh yes, thanx entity, you are the man.

    btw, where would be the best place for the messiah2 then? I dont know if having longer wire for the BIOS leads is reccomended. Perhaps the messiah can be placed just under the drive controller and to the right of the battery?
