v5/v6 Duo2 black screen... sometimes...

I got this PS2 here, Duo2 chip installed all the pins look fine, no bridges on the bios or anywhere. Sometimes it likes to boot to a black screen and not do much of anything, sometimes it boots and when it does it works perfectly. Maybe a symptom of a bad chip? Anyone have any ideas?

No offense but it sounds like a dirty install. Try redoing it.

Dirty install? Seems pretty good to me... I think ill try changing the chip though.. but there's no issues like this with Duo2's and v5's eh?

You could try to shorten the wires go over all the joints to make sure theres no cold joint. Umm what else try a bigger power wire or different power location.
