OK, I have heard that the MEssiah 2 has had problems with v6 boards. Only thing is I cant tell if I have a V5 or V6 I have searched the web but it always tells me that I have one of the two, Is there any way to determine if which version I have?

Yeh, the ribbon connectors - one version is one way up, another version is the other way up (pins facing).
I see if I can find which is which for you.
Give us your Serial Number and Datecode from the back of your PS2.
Here they are:
SCPH-30001 R
PT314962773
FU1496277
The ribbon connector config is not always a definate. In all reality you need to look and see what the #'s on your bios are. I was convinced that I had a V6 but according to LOD it in fact was a V5.
-Me
Im gonna say thats a v6.

The serial #s aren't 100% accurate. To be really sure you'd have to open your console up and see what BIOS # it has.
Yep I have a #FU******** and thought it my be a V6 but after opening it up and checking it was a V5![]()
Well isnt that great, I am finally getting ready to order one and I find out I wont beable to install oneHow do I figure out the bios number it has?
