V5 with spindle problem..

A V5 ,not modded, does not eject and the spindle runs with no disc on it?!?!

Any good ideas about what is wrong??

Eject light come on ???? or blinking ????
Have video and audio output ????
If remove the cover of dvd rom and put a disk inside this LOAD ???? .

Lights OK! Red becomes green when the ps2 is on and the eject is lit and flashing when the eject is pressed, but the disc does not come out. The ps2 reads nothing!

The laser head move front - back in the trail ???.
If put reset try to focus ????.
Have beam ??????.
Have try another dvd-rom in the machine ???

No beam, no head movement. DVD rom works on another PS2!
The spindle runs very fast like if a cd-rom is in the tray!

BTW, there is picture and sound (browser)! The controler works ok too!

Have check PS12 and PS13 fuse in mobo ??

All fuses are OK! I am close to grabbing a hammer and convert that ps2 to dust!

how about bridges on the cd/dvd controller or the ba chips
i've seen some pretty weird things happen with a cd/dvd controller bridge and they can be hard to see

Maybe BA6664 and BA5815 are dead....The fuses maybe ok but the BA-s could be damaged. And you have picture and sound....
With dead BA5815 from my experience there is no picture and sound, and you can't open the tray.....
First desolder all wires and take out a modchip. Then check again...
