V5 PS11 fuse

Hi All,

I've seen this problem posted a few times on various forums but I haven't seen any resolutions posted.

I have a V5 that had a dvdkey/autokey in it. Worked for a month or so and then the tray stopped ejecting and no video.

I checked all the fuses I could find and found only the PS11 fuse blown. I tried replacing the fuse but it just blows again as soon as I turn on the PS2 and press reset.

What can I check to find out what is causing the fuse the blow? Is this worth trying to repair?

sorry my friend but your ba chip is dead.
Try to change the BA**** chip near the fuse.

Ahh. I suspected as much after digging around the forums a bit more. Thanks.

Now for the inevitable follow up question.. Where can I get a replacement chip?

I guess I gotta do a bit more searching.. heh.

I have a DVD auto key 3 for that very system. Spare from when I upgraded to magic II.
