    Hey gang.
I just installed a modbo 760 in a v5 pal ps2, but the thing is it doesn't load any ps2 games original or backups, it loads up to the 'modbo chip' screen and then goes back to the browser screen with the a dvd present, it plays ps1 games and i can disable the chip, i don't no how to configure the chips setting either, i checked over the install twice i can confirm its clean no bridges or anything.
    Help me out man.
    Thanks.

I just did a v5 modbo 745 today myself and noticed that their diagram appears to be wrong.
Modbo is a Matrix infinity clone and the install should be the same (except for ground and 3.3V points that are equivalent). But on the V5 you will notice that point "Y" is different from the MI diagram and different from the Modbo 2.1 diagrams which match the MI's.
I went with the MI "Y" and my install went perfect. I didn't have the time to check the other point and see what happened.
This may or may not be your issue as I have yet to confirm whether the modbo "Y" is ok or not.

Ok i moved the 'Y' point shown on the MI diagramme but the problem still persists, i checked all other points and they were fine. What can it be??
Also when the ps2 is booting there is a high pitch noise....why??

Sounds more like your laser is weak then anything. Try adjusting your laser cog and pots here: http://www.cyber-mag.com/station/laserV9.htm
IDK why people are having problems Ive installed them on every version except 1,15, and 16 and Ive had no problems, of course they were NTSC models.

O ya BTW the modbo config screen is acessed by holding triangle and circle from boot

There's nothing wrong with the laser, the ps2 worked fine before the install no reading errors whatsoever, picks up the disc right away even with the chip on it picks up the disc str8 away, it even shows the boot screen that says 'modbo chip' then after that screen goes blank then to the browser screen with the dvd present o yea may i also say it does the same thing with PS2 CD based games but plays PS1 games, Thanks anyway.

Nevermind it's ok now, the chip wasn't really thought over during production because when u solder the bios legs directly to the chip the chip sticks out and the metal shielding causes the chip to bend dramatically, thus ruining the chip, i did a wire install and i re-soldered everything on the chip to make sure there was no solder cracks due to the bend this cleared eveything up and its working fine now.
    Thanks for the help tho.
    P.S check the pic.

I second that. I was shocked when I saw that picture. You shouldn't have the chip hanging out like that. Move it to somewhere on the board.
