i recently installed a magic 3.0(red) from consolesource.com, and now all i get is a black screen, nothing more. its been tested out with a multimeter and the points all check out. the only thing is point ( I ) came off(the actual point, the little bronze square). it was jumpered to fix the problem, but i still get a black screen. the cd spins like a quarter each time, about 3 or 4 times, and thats it, while i still get the black screen, and the blue light pulses. the fuses all checked out fine. i was wondering if you might know what the problem is. i have a v5/6 board. the cables looked good, just in case that helps. thanks in advance.

    Hi !
Can you Start the ps2 in DVD/mode ?
I had a black screen issue a week ago and could start the DVD/ps1 mode by holding on to the resetbutton until the blue light come on.
But coluldn't start in ps2 mode (black screen)

My problem was the GND had popped of i Really have a hard time
soldering to that point so i using another GND point for now.
    With magic 3 blue edition

My advice to you have to be check the 5 v and GND points
so they are ok test the Gnd with a multimeter put one mm stick on the magic GND and another to the main board the frame, gold witch goes around the mainboard. they should be conected

try to desolder gnd and 5 v and solder them again.

    Hope this will help
