v4 video static prob on screen.

got a v4 here , duo 2 installed , and removed .
ps2 got video prob , when conected to tv got like static on the tv screen.
on my small lcd screen i didnt saw it , dont know if its cuz screen is small or no prob on lcd screen.
i have removed the chip , cleaned components on the board.
resoldered av output plug , and components near it .
also on main side of the board , resoldered and cleaned all components and chip near it .
still same prob ... any ideas ?
could it be the av plug itself ? should i try and replace it ?
any ideas will be helpfull

YES I DID !!!

Does it exist in all types of video signals? i.e both component, s-video and composite? If it does, it seems more like a digital fault. The AV connector can go bad, luckily it's really easy to replace.

well i didnt try with svideo cable , as i dont have one .
thought i have replaced the av output plug ... still same prob , not a bit of change with anything i did ...

Hm. Maybe the video encoder chip is bad. Just hope it works with s-video or some other video signal. At least I can't think of anything else.

what is this chip ? is that the small once near the AV output plug ?
the one that use for rgb/color fix ?

if you think it is .... i can try and replace it .... you think a chip from a v5 board will do the work ?? :rolleyes:

That is the chip, but it's rather tough to replace. Really I have no idea what causes the problem, but the chip comes to my mind first.
