    I'm about to install a messiah2 into a scph-30001(v4) or scph-30001r(v5), which one has the best laser? or which machine would you guys install the messiah2 into?

    actually, I've heard the v5-6 lasers are the best at reading DVD-R or CD-R, Sony has since recalibrated the drives and they aren't as stable reading recorded media as they once were. Not sure on this though

    you may want to consider getting a MESSIAH 2 instead of a magic 3.1 for your system. The M2 is much better and does not contain any of the problems the magic 3.1 does such as DVD9, freezing, no "OFF" function, etc.

    i heard v7 was the best for all......works much better than my old v4, or my friend's v5 (messiah 2 as well)
