v4 PS2 MI won't boot anything, ALWAYS RSOD

Like the title says... no matter what games I try it tells me to insert a PS2 Formatted blah blah. Matrix Logo shows up as it should. I did some searching and appearently this could be a bad solder point somewhere? I read something about checking point A which I have yet to do but I would like some more advice. TIA

Thanks. RSOD is gone now, but now it can't read any DVD media. Maybe the lens got dirty or something? Prior to the mod the PS2 read all types/colors of media with zero problems.
