V4 ps2 with Magic 3.1

Hey,

I have a v4 PS2 here that has a magic 3.1 installed in it. It was working fine but now when you put a burnt game CD-r or DVD+R both just say please insert a Playstation 2 or Playstion formatted games. and it is a red sort of background. Does anyone know what may be wrong, am I gonna have to take the beast apart.

Ahh the red screen of death....well, if you got an installer to do it for you, you should take it back to him. Or you're probably gonna need some tools to check the bios connections on the motherboard of the ps2. They primarily control the identification of Cd-R DVD-R games

what kind of tools would I need to check them...man I hate taking the PS2 apart...lol.
