Update
Its working fine now
So im all good now :P
Thx ny man
Moved the chip closer to bios and made the connextions significantly closer
How good is the vga support on this chip? Does it do the same thing as the blaze disc or are there any improvements in compatability and the like ? Also there is something mentioned about an internal romeo mod, does this work correctly?
to answer most of those q's I dont knowOriginally Posted by darklegion
The romeo mod also wouldnt apply to me cos im a v4
But vga is ment to work in 800x600 (you need to get a scart ps2 adaptor, a vga cable, and then join them up (if you dont have sync on green you have to get a circuit board and a couple of chips))
So basically i dont know  there are others that probably do, and most of its prolly on their website
Sorry im not very helpful am i![]()
The native vga support is that they change the refresh mode to work to a monitor.I have not seen the Blaze but you can go to http://www.ps2vga.tk to check out about the cable. It also has to do with the monitor you are using.
Now about the internal romeo mod they mean is that this chip put very little pressure on the laser but the Romeo is always needed. This means that it may never burn your console but just in case do it since when a mechachon crashes you may have an issue.I have seen V9s without romeo in O2 and had been working for a while.(note that all new gen modchip claim to have that protection crystal, ghost, pms)In my personal opinion the O2 is one of the most silent chips I use.If the ripper and the PMS are a tank the o2 is a bicycle. The infinity is also noisy and the crystal and Ghost2 are silent too(I must be fair guys)
Yahoo Adam--->I had told you to put it close to the Bios. All devolution mode chips need that when you are new to modding.About the 800x600 in monitor do not worry since the games in TV are 640x480
How was the feeling after your first install?Whas it difficult?Did you manage to use the Dev buttons of the O2?What app did you choose for each button?

I had it way to far away from the bios and when i moved it closer worked alot better
My first install ... hmm it waz fun, but very hard and slow
For l1 i have network (server type thing so i can browse ps2)
Id like to have hdloader on another, and the third ... i dunno whatever appeals
Thx for all the help![]()

Ahh the things i did wrong
I waz soldering and melted the edge of the controller port section connector (that waz an arse)
I broke off the controller port conn on the mobo (but put it back on and put a sticky pad next to the plasic side bit that holds it on)
and pulled the lil blue tab off the cd motor connector (that waz a pain)
So all in all not too bad :P :P
