my v3 magic 2 didn't work in v1 as i used LOD diagram for version 1 ntsc. i had the same problem. So should i wait for any new diagram that would work with v1 and magic2 (v3) or should i exchange v3 chip for v4 chip?

Are the digrams for the V1 on china-magic.com for the V1 ntsc PS2 or V2 ntsc PS2. I wan to know because I have a V2 ntsc PS2.
What board do you have GH-00?....(located on bottom of board, see pic below)....
GH-004 = ver 1
GH-005 = ver 2 (not on china-magic site yet...)
GH-006 = ver 3
I think it is GH-005, but I'm not sure. I never took it apart. Right now my fried has it, along with the modchip(Magic2 V1-V3) . I just emailed him the picture, when he emails me back, I'll tell you.

But the mainboard on china-magic IS a ver 1 (GH-004) NOT a ver 2 (GH-005)....
Allrightr guys there are two types of v2's Ones with a GAP ROM and the NOGAP ROM ok the board is the same the only differance is the type of ROM used so the diagram on the MAgic 2 website that says v1 is A V2! the pic shows the NOGAP rom version but has an empty spot for the GAP ROM. ALWAYS USE THE EXPERT POINTS on either ROM to avoid confusion. As for the V1 I have a HIGH RES SCAN of the board and we will try to get the MAgic 2 website to change the diagrams. Now what are you going to do for now if you want to chip your v1 its simple look at the install I did and map the points out from there. Also you want to know what chip to use the v3 or the v4 well here is a way to tell if you are 100% sure it is installed correctly and when you test it you will notice something if the game starts to load and then just quits you need the v4 chip But I will not take any responsabilty for anyones actions. It may be a fluke the chips I got were for testing they may have been mislabeled I do not know that for sure. When I did this testing on the 2 v1s that i did 1 worked with the v3 chip the other needed the v4 chip why I do not know. I had posted the CD/DVD controller points in this thread or another if you needed them for the v1 or the v2 the board may not look the same but they all have this same controller use the origa chip diagrams as a guide.
LOD can you do us v1 a favor? can you put the chip that didn't work in the systemv1 where the other v3 chip worked? or can you put the v3 chp that worked into the systemv1 that didn't work? in this way we would know if the chip are labeled wrong or we need a v4 chip.
i would really apprciate this because i am in trouble. my chip won't work and modchip is just keep asking me the questions and questions, how your board look like, what are the details and etc. i have send them the picture of your diagram hundrad times and send them e-mail alot of time for the description but still they asking me the questions and question.
now i am not sure if i should order v4 or not because it might be the chip labeled wrong? what if v4 didn't work. i am going to be screwed.
You know you never did say what was happening when games booted for example.
RED SCREEN OF DEATH: May mean that the ROM POINTS are mixed up or disconnect the (Z) wire and see if that helps.
NO VIDEO NO SOUND: Short some place either the ROM or the Controller points.
GAMES START TO LOAD AND NEVER FINISH : Chip is NOT COMPATIBLE!
This is just a guide mind you I hold no responsibilty for anyones actions
The 2 v1's that I did belong to Staff Members I no longer have them for testing.
LOD,
I have a V1 unit with a brand new red Magic II V3 chip and am willing to schedule a date to drive it to you to have it installed if you need more V1's to mod to see if the V4 chip was just a fluke. Let me know.

LOD,
We all greatly appreciate what you have been able to do for us. Thanks a lot! I just needed to say that since you have been willing to step up to the plate and get this whole mess squared away. Thanks again for all your help.
Have you been able to upload the last diagram that you were talking about earlier today? When you can... Thanks.
