  1. #1 Question V4 Install (Theres been a lot of these lately, hasnt there?)

Hi guys, I just have a couple little slight problems with my magic 3.1 install. Firstly, On the lord of the rings dvd, right in the middle of the movie, my playstation has a really hard problem with reading the disc. I know that this is roughly where the disc makes the transition between the 1st and 2nd layer, so I thought maybe the ribbon cable to the dvd drive was being compressed when it was at the edge of the disc, so I fiddled around with it, and I found that there really isnt much room for it get caught between the motorised laser part and the motherboard, so it seems like maybe it might be something else. I did have quite a few bridges on the dvd controller when I was installing it initially (which convinced me to use the alternate points, after I spent about 3 hours fixing the thing), but I found no brigdes afterwards, and the mod works 100% other than that, and I couldnt get another dvd, Attack of the clones to reproduce the error. Hmmm. unfortunately, though, I couldnt tell you if the dvd worked properly before the install though, as I dont typically use it ot watch movies - I just need any suggestions regarding it that you gys can think of, so that no other dvds do this.... Anyways, on to my second point. Im able to play a european psx game on the ps2, but the picture is shifted downwards.... Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.

Anybody have any ideas? Think adjusting the laser might do it?

Edit: Oh, and its not the disc itself, either. I tried it on my stand-alone dvd player already and it works fine.

Edit 2: While the Ps2 Is trying to read the chapter, I hear a constant clicking sound.

Edit 3: I tried turning off the mod, by holding the reset button, but that didn't fix it. Is there anything the drive could be getting caught on, etc? Charlie?
