    Hi,

I just modded a v4 with a h2o and it is not very reliable. It has problems reading the games (both original and backups) to start with but once it has read the cd once it will read it everytime untill you pull the cord. But then you have to restart it a few times to make it accept any game again. Can anyone give me any hints of what to do? Or is the h2o not very good with v4:s?

    Here is the install.

I haven't connected the H point since it isn't needed for PAL but I have heard that it might help for reliability?

    regards

I would try with the H point to see if it helps.
I had H wire issues on several chips, duo2se and even Matrix Inf with PAL consoles, and it has been more stable with H point wire.

DUO2SE though, has been more unstable with H point a couple of times.
Just try it , dosent hurt

    I have put many H2O in v4 .
    Havent any prob.
I put the chip in the other side of the BIOS and reverse ( upside down) .
With this way dont crossing the bios wires .

I also never had any problems with the H2O in a v3 or v4
but its true that the H20 is a little bit sensitive on where it is placed and LASER condition ,

I always clean the v3 and v4 lasers with some compressed air and when i still have no acceptable results i tweak the laser a little bit( DVD pot)
then i can alsmost say that i have a almost 100% bootrate

Okay, then maybe summ0ne should mention something about that in his install diagrams. Coz the H-wire seems to be the tip everyone is giving me.

Anyway.. the custuomer was very eager to get his ps2 so he didn't mind the dodgy boot rate and said that he would be back with it if it bothered him, oh well..

Why should the 5V wire disturb the reset wire? It doesn't carry any data so i can't really see why it should interfer?
