v4 gap or no gap

How would I know if I have a gap or no gap v4???Is there any way to find out without opening my ps2???

My ps2 have 8 screws, USA SCPH 30001 ,Serial Number begins with U5.

depends on ur date code. if its 1A or 1B then its more than likely that u might have a Gap Bios. also go thru CHarlie's post ..see if it helps any http://209.123.142.155/forums/showth...hlight=Version

most often from discussing with guys at various times i have observed that date codes later than 1B (e.g 1C etc ) have a NO GAP bios.
