I'm taking apart my first V3 ever and am wondering how do I get to the SCEX points on the other side of the mobo? I've heard something about desoldering something but can't quite remember what to do... If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it

    Thanks in advance

I believe you need a heavy-duty soldering iron and a few meters of desoldering wick to undo the 4 posts holding the motherboad in.
I also understand it can be a real bitch...

If somebody can host it.. I have some REALLY good disassembly guides for V3 and V4

    They were written by CT

No desoldering of power pins is required for V3- I sure didn't.

I tried to attach them to this message- but the forum times out b4 it uploads

So I have some I could email to anyone.
