I got a 3.1 modchip installed in a V7 ps2 around xmas. it worked great until now. first it wouldnt play dvd's...the screen would jump around..it was similar to a very very very old vhs tape. now, i cant even get the PS2 to turn on.....the lights go on, and i see that is on, and the fan and everything go on, and the drive door opens, but no picture comes up...the screen stays completly blank..there is also no sound. every once in a while(a very rare while) the main screen will show up, but it will freeze and i wont be able to select browser or config..HELP!!!

could be a loose or broken wire. Possibly a problem with the BIOS

Sounds like something is shorting..Go through with a multimeter and a magnifying glass and double check all wires. Good luck, Hope this helps!
