I did a MI greendot in a v14. The laser arm moves and everything works fine there, but the disc does not spin. I have no idea what it could be. Swapped out the laser assembly to see if that was it. Switched the top plate so the laser cable is new and still nothing. Any ideas?

BTW: the MI screen comes up upon boot, so the chip is working ok to that point anyways.

    thanks.

Ok, well I disconnected all the chip wires. Its still doing the same thing. I've tried switching the laser again, tested all the points on the cable that goes to the motor, tested fuses, any ideas please.

It was ps13. I could have sworn I tested it last night but must have missed it or got a false reading on it. Wish I would have found that before I took the chip out and had to put it back in. Lol.

No, its a v14 and i never use the fix on them. I only a few v12s come around my way, and its been all v14's ever since.

Are you using a new laser?
You have remove the lead point protecting the laser.
I forgot the same and the disc didn't spin up too.
