V12 should i chip it????

My little brother has a V12 which i gave to him for birthday pressy about just over a year wide laser V12
recently i brought some H20 mod chip with the laser fix
do you guyz fink itz a good idea to chip it after the ps2 is used for so long

also with the cutting of the track with the j and K point is there a way with a multimeter we can test if we cut enough of the track or not?????

to test just put the multimeter on both dises of the cut

LOL sorry noob question wat setup do u put the multimeter
eg
ohm reading
voltage reading
or diode reading
and wat reading should i get if it connect and wat reading do i get wen i cut the track

put it on Ohm and see if it makes a connection.. if not ur good

so if it makez a reading i need to cut more rite
if it doesnt make a reading den it all good to do the fix

just wondering with the resistor does it have to be 560ohm and 2.0K cause i couldnt find 2.0K i brought 2.2K would it do or does it have to be 2.0K

hi just one more question i just cut my track (by using a stanley knife and just scratching it) and i cut till i see copper lines is that enough i used a multimeter to measure the cut track and point K (highlighted red) and it reads 0.00 and i measure K point with the points highlighted green and it still have readingz do i still cut more or not
please tell me im doin it rite
