Hi guys!I have tons of problems with my "new" pstwo.I putted my demo in and it worked fine. The first "surprise" was when I opened it yesterday (i've bought it on saturday,so i supposed it was the last motherboard release),i had this "bad" surprise: it was a GH-032-11. I talked to my friend who mod the console and he never saw this motherboard code (his first v12 mod was in november). So,we start to add the DMS4 PRO, it was done very well,we turned it on (without fix, just to see if it worked),but it won't read the demo disc:the lens worked, the spin worked, but the discs didn't boot. We could only boot one time Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (original) that, after a reset, the green turned red (it was the PS3 fuse). We changed it (we took a 63 from my old v7 board) and we tried another boot, this time without chip.Result:the same. The discs turned but won't boot, and after some resets the fuse was done again. I dunno what to think now,but i wouldn't spend anymore 150euros for another v12. Does anyone know why this fuse goes broken so easily? Can anyone help me?Thanks a lot.

if you're friend is a mod installer, i find it wierd that he'd have this problem unless theres a problem with the chip (which is rare) I had a prob w/ my MagicV KX+ blew a PS1 fuse, fixed it, ps2 works like normal w/ out a mod, turned out the KX+ was defective, tried it in a V9 and a V10, same problem. I say get another ps2 or sell it broken... check for bridges on the CD/DVD points...

Some news:the console without the chip read correctly only cd and cd-r. It doesn't read any dvd-rom or dvd-r (movie).

How did you open it without break the sticker?I know that when you remove the sticker it leaves "void" on the case! What model was you board?GH-032-11?

To open it without breaking the sticker, you can either use a blow dryer or leave the sticker on and open the case like the way you open the pizza box.

Or if you are in the UK, just ring the playstation2 care line, they just ask a few questions, next day a courier arives to take away the old broken one and leave a nice reconditioned one in its place no questions asked, and nobody gives a hoot about the sticker

    Worked for me!!

Find a local mod installer... ask if he'll sell you a warranty sticker.

Personally, I collect them from every console I do... store them on wax paper. Someone needs one... $20. Then take it back.

By the way, yours definately needs to go back for an exchange.
