Yes. I see a new switch on top of the reset button. Is that the symptoms of the casing being off?
I have already successfully installed a few MIs on V12s before this and have been doing this since the beginning. I know I still make mistakes but this one is bugging me. I KNOW it's not me.

well could be that the case is jamming the switch? Umm it can also be the install i've have gotten an isntall by someone. Had teh same exact problems explained here removed modchip made sure it works perfectly then reinstalled it
i tried removing the chip already, no dice
Same here. Removed the chip all three times and triple checked all my cleanup work. How does the switch work and how can the case be jamming it? Anyone know?
At this point I am convinced it is not something with the install, although it is entirely possible I am wrong. I would just hate to see anyone else waste as much time as I have with the new style of PSTwo and the MI that don't quite match the diagrams (70012 CB Date Code 4D AFAIK).
Anyone else have any insight?
i'ts really only jammed when the case is put on. But that doesn't seem to be the problem now
I've had this twice... and both times it was the power switch. The case and the little switch on top of the power plate had lost contact. When the case is properly put on, and the power button plate is in the correct position, that little black switch on top of the power plate is pressed down. If either is off its' alignment, the symptoms described are experienced.
To fix my problem, I glued down the switch, so that it no longer was an issue... problem solved.
Thanks for your input Mike. So the little black plastic spring loaded thingy has to be totally pressed in on a PSTwo or it will not boot?
I am playing with two now and that is not seeming to help. When I hold it down it goes green, fan powers on for about 5 seconds and stops but no video. WTF.
something wrong with the board i think, maybe not the switch problem as we have tried with or without the cover.
Has anyone really discover the actual fault?
I have one macihne here, with the same problem.
Can't fint the fault, so now I have accepted, is't a dead V12.
