First off, I read the sticky recommending that new users use the search engine first. I would use it, but I'm nnot sure how to narrow down my query. Also, I'm nnot sure if thiis is the right forum for this question. If it is the wrong forum please direct me to the right forum.

I got a new PS2 with the Matrix Infinity. I also have a premodded X-Box. There are several things you can do with the X-Box outside of just playing back-ups. You can add dashboards and and upload games to the hd drive. You can also connect to your X-Box to your pc via your network. With the XBMC you can stream music and video from your pc to your tv. What can you do with the PS2? I went to PS2 Scene, but haven't found info regarding the various ways you can use the Premodded PS2s. Can you steer me in the right direction? Ii don't expect the Ps2 to be as versitile as the X-Box.

Also what memory pack would you recommend? Should I get the MAX Drive 64MB from codejunkies.com oor should I get the Datel's Mega Memory or is there something better? I want something with alot of storage space or atleast the capacity to transfer files to my PC.

Do I need one memory? Is it possible to connect a Maxtel GB hd drive via the usb port? Can I connect to my PC via network and save games files there? Sorry for all the questions.

I heard that the new pstwo (v12) has blacklisted most of the datel cards. That is no problems. You can play mp3's with ps2mp3 which is on the homebrew forum. It's not like XBMC but it's ok. There is no hdd for the v12. You can use ExecFTPs to use FTP. The other ps2 site which I wont mention has had some info on usb loader but it's not very good. The v12 uses usb 1.1 not usb 2.0. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. They also said that the slim doesn't have USB ports, but it turns out it does Is therre any official website that says that datel memory doesn't work with the v12.

Hypothetically speaking, which memory format is the best.
I can use my X-Box for MP3's and video.
