can you tell which laser a mobo should have just by taking its serial no or the pstwo's serial??

No you can't. Just open it up and look at the laser itself.
so if i have the full optical block and the case with the larger laser opening in the top i can use either of the two laser types?
or will each mobo be locked to one type or the other??
i have 4 mobo's, cases and lasers mixed up you see :cry:
