    I had the same problems as you. I checked the 303 and 689 with mulimeter and found the readings were off. Check the resistors again and the solder work around where you were working, sounds to me like the 30k resistors are gone.

    \did you check all your work for continuity and resistace when you were finished, also check they are well insulated, I blew a laser on one, just by hurrying to get finished.

    Hope this helps, ( can you post a jpeg of the mobo with the installation?).

  9. #9 Help!

    i modded a pstwo(gh032) and applied your fix(like i have done many times before)

    Machine booted a backup dvd first time no problems.one retart later.and laser moves to centre,but disc does not spin.i then proceeded to power machine off,and check all fuses-and laser

    *ok,laser was blown-focus coil only 2ohms.replaced with new one!
    *not one fuse blown?!then removed your fix,and tried again!same problem.then proceeded to test resistors-the ones where your fix was applied to!(303)(the first RSF point in your diag.and that resitor was blown.i then replaced the resistor.No i have some sort of success.disc spins up once twice,then continues to spin(not quite full speed though),but never reconises a disc!actualy stops after a while.

    any ideas?

    Hkfun;
    How laser blowned with summ0ne fix?After Summ0ne fix is blowned or before?If disc not spin you must check firstly all resistor connected summ0ne fix.For this remove summone fix and measure all resistors with digital multimeter carefully.
    Then if you not see any blowned resistor you must check ribbon cable(spindle motor's ribbon cable this is white and you must check all pins because they can damage when you plug in plug off)
    Before you change new lens you must test it with new unmodded pstwo and you must open protect bridge.(small solder in the lens)
