v12 Crystal Probs

Just installed a Crystal Chip into a v12 - booted it up and reflashed the chip fine using 0.07 f/ware from crystal chip site.

Originals load fine, but backups result in RSOD - been over all points and all are as the crystal chip diags show.

I have connected 1 GND point. And left off F point.

Only thng that concerns me is that TO point is not connected - is this supposed to?

Also should the 0.07 f/ware boot backups? Or is this my prob?

Chances are you have a wiring error. You would still be able to flash the chip with such a error. And the symptoms would be that originals work and backups don't. And don't forget the source needs to be modified in order to boot backups!

well sicne he can boot the upgrade his wiring is fine he needs the source

we more than likely wont be allowing any more hacked firmwares on this site. Too many of the DeMonS fanboys think im some sort of crystal chip cronie. You can get the latest firmware from this link though.

Who cares what they think? The CC firmware is open source, you can make whatever changes to it you want, within the license. Screw the D M S fanboys.
