V11 Romeo Mod and Laser Change

Hi all

Can anybody clarify if the Romeo Mod is needed on the v11 GH-029 boards?

Also is there any other laser I can fit besides the original PVR-702W?

i've only done the romeo on v9 and 10's - no comebacks yet.

kl1k .. did u lift the LA chip leg or cut the traces ? i just discovered my v10 dont have romeo mod lol ... i need to do that very soon b4 the laser die...

also did u just lowered the voltage .. or did u do the resistors as well ?

i always do the romeo on v9 and 10s. lifting the LA leg and connecting it to 5V.

Can I use a different laser in this v11 silver ps2 ?????? I can't find anybody that sells PVR702W lasers.

no idea on that one

checked the usual spot where I get my stuff - no 702w lasers.

I heard the v11 uses a different ribbon so older 400C or HD7 dont work.
