Yes it is right.
If it has a small "a" letter at the end of the SCPH identification number is a V10.
I belive this was also said before on the forum.

Chip&Chop
I got a v10 here & no (a) to be found the only way i can tell is go to version from browser dvd ver 3.00 = v9 & dvd ver 3.02 = v10
thats a pal version by the way
I myself thought about checking the dvd version on the browser.
good idea
So all the theory of the V10 have a carton antishock insted of white foam is not right?
Strange, from my experience all V10 i got until now had the small "a" in that position...
What is the serial of that V10 without the small "a"?
Well the dvd version i have it's 3.00E, so i guess it's v9 afterall!
I took it out of the box, and played with it (with the demo disk), and played a movie on the dvd , just to run it.
Everything works fine.
It's working 3 hourse strait and no problem. some ppl here sayed there ware dead after couple of minutes.
Maby it is the chip after all!!
But only time can tell ;(
I don't know what to do, to replace the sucker, or to chip it.
Found that on Italian web site, a picture shows diffrences between V9 and V10:

will the "a" be showen on the box as well or just the unit ?
