v10 p2 problem :-(

Hello , im new to this site , thought i would sign up . there is A LOT of great help on here . anyway i have modded mainy p2's but this v10 is the first . I have modded it. power up and the main comes on . i cant get the tray to open . i push it once and it blinks like 5 times and then goes solid again. and the dvd doesnt turn either. i go into the browser and nothing starts to happen , like no reading etc ? What is going on ? i would like to finish this p2. thankx again guys and i hope u can help me out. I using the the 5k6 Magic V.

ok i have taken out the chip and cleaned up all the points, put back together. and still the same problem . now i really really need help. i though maybe it was the chip but now its doesnt look that way . is a fuse blown or what ?

sounds like something is jammed, try taking off the dvd drive cover and see whats happening.

nope tray slides in in and out if i do it manualy

dead fuse or dead LA chip

it must be a short , i know it's hard job but look for splashes near the points... it always solder ball, belive me.....

ill check for the solder. Is the BA chip the chip beside where you connect the laser into on the board ? like jus up and to the left ? how do you check this. that chip looks good to me . also these fuses. what one would be causing this and where it it please ? thank you

No BA ( you have LA ).
Check for short in cd/dvd controler and look the fuses PS 11,12,13.

Hello what is the cd/dvd controler ? is that where the ribbon connects into from the laser ? thankx, and ill check for those fuses. also is there a diagram for the ver 10 with all the fuses mapped out ? they have one here for the 9 ? thankx. also villasg, the LA is where i said it was right ? near the connector for the laser ?
