  1. #1 V10 Noise and Static Problem w/ DMS3 v9

Here is what I got. V10 w/ DMS3 v9 with static and noise on boot. Even does it when its disabled. It mrecognizes backups but wont launch them. It launches and returns to teh browser. Does this on Originals too. I have tried wrapping the clk wire with a ground... i used the alt via. None of these worked. I decided to use a larger wire for the clk. This didnt work either. Below is a pic of the install. A larger res pic is in the link below.

    Any comments??? Any ideas???

Did you check shorts, loose wires, correct connections? The position of the chip looks fine for a v10. Try using a thicker wire for power as well, but mainly , use a shorter ground.

Check this installation(its not mine), but I use it as my guide for v10. Check the ground point.

Anyone else? That ground point doesnt really exist. Did he dig a spot into the board?

Try to shorten D and E wires, maybe a thicker wire for A also, but most important with DMS3 is the GND wire.

If you don't have a GND pad nearby you can locate an area connected to GND with a multimeter and gently remove the green solder from the pcb to solder to it.

It also looks like the soldering is a little "dirty" on the dms3 pads. You can try with a different solder brand/iron o or just some flux to remove any impurities on the soldering spots.

    Hope it helps.
