I try to put an MXL2 pal in v10.
    SCDPH 50004 PAL

    Bios
    (c) 2003scei
    B2013 D221111
    064 343ABAV

    I try 3 MXL2 (v10 green)
With mod enable in ORIGINAL and COPIES have destroyed PLAYSTATION2 logo and go to Gold disk or blue disk.
With disable chip ORIGINAL load like a charm.
    I change wires nothing.
    I try 3 mods NO.
I keep the wires and change the mod with INFINITY and all works good .

    What is the mistake ?????

Do you have a picture of the installation?
I believe you have some ground/bios problem.
Where do you place the chip and how long/thick is the ground wire? Check also the R and W wires.

I received a V10 with MXL2 from a client who made the installation by himself that was making the same think.

I removed his wires and changed them with my good quality
    wires and the problem disappeared.
I belive it is an interference problem between the Bios Wires.

We should all be thankful to $ony for the V9/V10.
I am almost making more assistance work on V9/V10 to third parties than modding in this period
