V10 MXL2 and romeo mod.

this ps2 i brought back from what i thought was the dead, i had soldered onto the cd/dvd legs and it just wasnt my day so i moved onto the vias. after that, the ps2 was behaving erratically, boot sometimes, RSOD, disc read error. someone mentioned i may have lifted one of the legs slightly. i re-tinned point A and everything seemed to work after that! put the mod back in and played killswitch for about an hr and everything went smoothly.

i gave it back to my buddy and now all games boot up fine, play for a while, but will then skip or freeze. i figure to get this symptom to show up quickly, i played gta-san adreas for about 10min and there it is, disc read error. the screen would black out and a disc read error msg would display, sometimes itll go back to the game, otherwise, it needed a reset. my buddy said this would occur with backup's and originals.

has that occured to anyone, after modding, getting disc read errors or skipping/freezing?
