I have a US PS2 (v4?) that I would like to use in Norway, can I just swap the 120v power adapter with a 220v power adapter from a Euro V7? Does this work or will the PS2 smell fried real fast?

you would need to swap the entire psu if that's what your talking about yeah that would be fine.
just swapping power cable's thats a no no the voltage would still be the same and fry the psu.
you would need a psu out of a 240v ps2.

Yes, it's the entire PSU I'm gonna swap, I was just unsure if that would **** up things ^^ I'll give it a go then :]
that's fine then it will work
ive got a few ntsc based machine's and just stuck some pal 240v power supplys in them so it wont be a problem.
