Using DVD Region Free With Messiah & scph 30004R
Using DVD Region Free With Messiah & scph 30004R –

The problem is that I cannot use dvd region free with my ps2 (actually none of the multiregional software).
When I start up this dvd region free original copy with double-tap reset then my ps2 regognizez it as a PSOne cd.
I have tried dvd region x and dvd region free also some origina cd-based ps2 games and they all are recognized as a ps1 disks
but when i startup ps2 dvd original games with double-tap reset then it boots every time
What should I do?
Maybe someone could post messiah 1 installation diagrams for PAL SCPH-30004R V5 and then I could review my modchip
or tell me is there a program similar to dvd region free or gameshark 2v3 that is dvd-based not a cd

AR2v3 should work on your PS2 , depending on the dvd driver version you have . i have a pal V4 , running the original dvd driver ( no update thru remote cd ) , and i can set my PS2 to regionfree .
just boot the Ar2v3 as any PS2 backup , choose DVD Multiregion , and swap with your video DVD . it'll load , and then tell you that this is not a valid video DVD ( guess it's because the modchip is hammering the cd/dvd controller with SCEX signal , and not dvd .. ) . ignore this message , go on , and your dvd should play fine .
i'll check my current dvd driver version asap , and i'll post results here .
PS : tried the same thing with V7 , doesn't work , dunno since which version the AR2V3 crash the dvd player ...

My friend has a v4 console and yes it works that way, because he can boot dvd movies as they were ps2 backups.
I think it works the same way for you too
