Using Cheat Device WITH Codes and DMS3+

I was told to ask around the DMS3 forums for this, but it was to no avail. My question is, how do I play a backup PS2 game with Codebreaker, Action Replay or Gameshark without usind the slide card technique? My DMS3 loads the backup fine, loads the cheat disk fine, but I cannot load the cheat disc (to turn on codes) then the backup- GS V 2 freezes, Codebreaker V7 says Game disk error or something, and I havn't tried Action Replay yet. Please, help those who are less skilled at gaming than you! Thanks for your help. Oh yeah- DMS flashed 2.3, Ps2 V9 w/ HDD, Network Adapter, and trying to cheat w/ Xmen legends.

i use action replay max.. works 100% in PS2 Mode

i don't have codebreaker, but, if you want to use it, you need to upgrade to 2.4, because it enables a new codebreaker fix in the config menu (L1)
