Urgent Messiah 2 Pro (FW1.08) V7 Bios compatibility question

hi there,

I tried to solve this problem via the search function but unfortunately I was not able to find proper answers.

the V7 bios in question has the following data on top:

2002 SCEI
D 221 060 S48
B 20 080

it's a european SCPH-39004 ps2 with a GH022 mainboard.

is it possible to mod this specific console with a messiah 2 pro (firmware v1.08) or do I need a newer revision of the messiah 2?

Hi,

I installed it on the same ps2 and it works fine with the 1.08 firmware.
I think the 1.08 firmware was made to solve the 60-80 bios with GH22 compatibility issue (correct me if i'm wrong)

By the way you made the good choice, I'm so happy with the M2 (I had a Magic 3.1 before !)

wrong

v1.07 work on v7 as well u have no problems

v1.08 included support for one of the early jap mc 15000 i think
v1.21 includes support for usa v6
