Urgent Help Needed - Flashing Green Light –
Alright, so here's the story. My friend gave me his PS2 to chip (the last one Im ever doing - Ive never chipped a PS2 with nothing going wrong. Im sick of the problems). I installed a Duo3 into a v7 (39010/N) and booted a normal dvd game. Booted fine. Ejected, and put in a burned dvd, reset, and the green light started flashing on and off about 3x per second.(no video, but the fan was on). What the hell. Removed the power wires for the chip. Nothing. Removed the BIOS wires soldered directly to the chip, and boom, it works again.
Checked my work, cleaned up any tiny pieces that could short out, and soldered the chip back. Tried a dvd game... Hooray, it worked! Ejected, and put in a CD game, hit reset... Back to flashing again. Removed the power wire from the chip and it works again.
This gave me an idea. With the power wires removed from the chip, if I tap reset four or five times quickly, it will start its flashing thing again.
I also noticed that the diagram for the v7 has no G wire.
Whats going on?
