UK v9 + MXL2 acting funny

My UK v9 MXL was fine for a while, then after few weeks nothing it stopped booting up.

Whatever I put in just keeps spinning and spinning really loudly, on and on without anything happening. I've double checked all the wires and everything looks just as it was.

Am I one of those fellas with a dead v9 now or is it the chip?
