UK PS2 Info Needed –
I'm looking at picking up a new PS2, and Some variation of modchip.
I'm trying to find out what version the new PS2's are and what modchip works with it. Whats the best modchip out on the market at the moment, hopefully with the least amount of wires to solder. Where's best to buy a modchip for delivery in the UK, seeing as they have been made illegal?
Does the modchip stop people playing backup games online?
Cheers for the help!
I believe Amazon.co.uk sells EXTREMELY cheap PS2's. I'm trying to find out whether or not they ship to over where I am, cus if they do, I'm ordering quite a number from there ;p There're a number of places you can buy modchips. Try 9HomerSimpson9 on these forums first though, I havn't seen any prices lower than his.
In answer to your backup games online question, the answer is yes and no. For one, how does a modchip STOP you from playing a backup game online, when you can't play them in the first place without a chip? ;p Depending on whether or not you know how to deal with DNAS ID's, you can and cannot play games online. If you do WANT to however, get a chip that has sleep mode ;p
Cheers for the info.
I was refering to the backup games online thing, such as XBL bans your xbox if it detects the presence of a modchip, What I was trying to ask was if the PS2 did something similar, thus meaning you needed the original game in to play online?
