Try holding down the reset button for 3 seconds with the update disc inserted.
-
have tried that and it just switches back off :(
-
If it is home brew chip you may have to hold the X i think it is during boot up(try them all)...
Other than that, you might have gotten an older chip with a not compatible firmware, in which case, check out the instructions for updating in the software section, you will be looking for Infinity manager 1.36, and follow the instructions in the two readme's...
-
Does it make any difference that this chip is a matrix inifinity homebrew?
this chip surely does what all other chips do?
-
Yes it does matter, not a lot albeit, but you just flash the chip differently, i think it's something along the lines of with the upgrade disk in, power it up and hold x on the controller( might be one of the others, can't remember for sure ), that should get you to the flashing screen...
-
ah ha......
will try that when i get home.......
Pity i dont know that sooner cos i just rewired the whole chip :(
well you live and learn.
Thnx Marcus21
will let you know how i get on.

Holding down the reset swich should work, but just remember you need to relese it before the mechine powers down again..
-
right guys.
have held X whilst booting and i get the "the matrix team" screen
But when i put a cd with the firmware in, it comes up with illegal disc?
Does it matter what firmware i use? have tried 1.45 and 1.39.
thnx for all your help so far.

What laser fix did you install? Is it a clone? I hope this helps.
