Trouble with games not loading with DMS3 on V9

I've recently got a DMS installed in my V9 PS2. I'm having a strange problem with it reading games.

Sometimes, games loads without a problem (approx %30 of the time so far). Othertimes, i have an issue where i'll swap the game and reset, and it loads to the initial spash screen where "Playstation 2" comes up. Then i just get a black screen and nothing. If i keep resetting it may load past that screen into the game. Sometimes turning of the main power of the ps2 and then turning it back on works as well.

However, i've found that if i load to the PS2 browser, then insert the disc and choose the disc from the menu, the game will load (%100 success so far).

Has anyone solved this problem before ? I've searched an can't find any specific answers to my problem. I've tested with backups and originals.

I just tested my ps2v9 UTSC with dms3. The only problem I found is that u need to boot with right method. Push x for ps2. o for ps1, square for movies, trianle for dev.mod. I can go from ps1 tony Hawk 2 to ps2 gta vice city by hitting reset then push x on controller. It took awhile for me to adjust to using the controller cause I had a magic 3.1 before.

Are this backup or originals?

If you are talking about backup, burn it using the lowest speed. I use (1x) to burn my entire backups, no problem.

Use good quality media like TDK.

Having the problem with both.

I can go from ps1 tony Hawk 2 to ps2 gta vice city by hitting reset then push x on controller.

I'll try this and let you know the results. Seems strange though because it works sometimes, just reset the PS2 and it works fine. If it never worked and only worked when using the browser/pushing the x button, then i might think it was a limitation of the chip.

Just trying to establish if this is a problem that can be fixed
