problem was a screw cover from a v12, i was working on the v9 when a customer came in with a v12 wanting a chip fitted asap that day, it was getting late, anyway i moved the v9 along the work bench and opened the v12, chip fitted and reassembled, then i could not find one of the plastic screw covers, dam it, so i found one in my draw.
back on the v9, reassembled it and started to test it, wtf tray wont close, yep you guessed it plastic bloody screw cover fell into the tray and prevented the tray closing a couple of mm stopping the switch from doing its job, so my lesson was either make my bench longer than 2.5 metres or slow down, lol,
